Terms of Service

1. Service Overview

SecureLuna ("we", "us") is a self-service SaaS that runs scheduled configuration checks on Linux servers operated by our customers ("you") and delivers daily reports. Customers register their own servers and install a public SSH key we generate. SecureLuna performs read-only configuration checks against industry-standard checklists published by KISA, CIS, NIST, and GB/T.

2. Account & Eligibility

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
  • You must be authorized to register each server you add to SecureLuna.
  • You may not use SecureLuna for any system you do not own or are not authorized to operate.

3. Subscription & Billing

  • The first registered server is free forever (Free plan, 1 server).
  • Additional servers are billed monthly per server (current launch promo: USD $2.99 / server / month).
  • Optional add-ons (such as encrypted cloud backup) are billed separately on a monthly basis.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled.
  • Payments are processed by Polar (Merchant of Record). Polar handles tax/VAT in applicable jurisdictions.

4. Refund Policy

  • You may request a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription month.
  • After the 7-day window, paid months are non-refundable but you may cancel future renewals at any time.

5. Cancellation

  • You may cancel any subscription at any time from the Customer Portal or by contacting support.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — service continues until then.
  • Free plan accounts may be deleted at any time from the dashboard.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Register servers you do not own or are not authorized to operate.
  • Use SecureLuna to attempt unauthorized access to any third-party system.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the service without prior written consent.
  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, or violates third-party rights.

7. Service Availability & SLA Credits

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance when possible. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by factors outside our reasonable control (network outages, third-party providers, force majeure).

Service Credit (SLA): If a SecureLuna outage caused by our infrastructure delays your scheduled daily report, we will extend your paid subscription period by five (5) times the verified delay duration, applied at the end of the current billing period. Credits are the sole and exclusive remedy for service delays. Outages caused by third parties (cloud providers, network operators) or force majeure are excluded.

8. Customer Responsibility & Operator Discretion

SecureLuna is a self-service tool that produces configuration findings and recommended guidance. The decision to apply, defer, or ignore any recommendation rests entirely with the customer's designated administrator, who must carefully review each item in the context of their environment before acting.

  • SecureLuna does not modify your systems and does not act on your behalf.
  • Any change made to a customer system based on a SecureLuna recommendation is the customer's decision and responsibility.
  • The customer's administrator is responsible for verifying the applicability, completeness, and side effects of any suggested action prior to implementation.
  • Use of SecureLuna does not transfer to SecureLuna any responsibility for the security, availability, or compliance of customer systems.

9. Limitation of Liability

SecureLuna is provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureLuna shall not be liable for any damage, loss, downtime, data loss, regulatory consequence, or third-party claim arising from the customer's decision to apply or not to apply any recommendation produced by the service. The sole remedy for service delays is the SLA credit described in Section 7. Aggregate monetary liability for any other claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address on file at least 14 days before taking effect.
